The only explanation as to why I pen these thoughts and not others, must be that I have some target audience in mind.
I looked out of my kitchen window this morning and lo - just like silent night , it had snowed last night, so silently and so gently that I didn’t even hear it - and then this thought struck me surreptitiously : since he ( Jesus , the birthday child ) is reported to have prophesied that he would be returning “like a thief in the night”, what if he (Jesus) more than two thousand years old by now, were to return as he said he would, riding on some white clouds or to be re-born in Bethlehem on Christmas Day 2025, or on the Christian Orthodox Christmas Day of January 7th, 2026? Would it be announced on ILTV, BBC, CNN, Arutz Sheva and al-Jazera?
We must leave that kind of speculation to the Vatican’s Pope & Cardinals, the Orthodox Christians’ Patriarchs, Archbishops and Metropolitans, assorted theologians and the expectant, Bible-thumping Nigerian Pentecostal pastors and their congregations
It’s bad enough that this Christmas season, some of the African Diaspora currently domiciled in the United States of America are afraid of making the annual Christmas pilgrimage back home sweet home because, given Trump’s current Immigration, US Citizenship and Naturalisation Policies they cannot be sure that they will be granted return visas or that those who naturalised as Americans since a very long time ago will be permitted (given the green light) to return to the United States from their Christmas holidays….
With the latest avalanche of Epstein files released, between now and after the holidays when perhaps a few thousand more salacious files, documents, letters, photos, videos will be released, thereby further poisoning the national atmosphere, nobody can say with any degree of certainty how things may turn out, whether Trump will be incriminated by some of the yet to be released Epstein files. Maybe, some peoples’ prayers will be answered, and the USA having got to beyond the saturation point of what they expect from their leadership, there will be a regime change in the USA, that after some obligatory repentance Trump will resign and without much bluster and fanfare will retire to Mar-a-Lago and ask JD Vance to take over as head of mission.
I suppose the the Supreme Leader of Iran, the Democrats, the Defiant Lawyers Network, and all of Trump’s other domestic and international enemies must be saying, “For we wrestle against flesh and blood, against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, against the Great Satan, against Donald J Trump”
What everybody knows : There will be wars and rumours of wars and according to both the Christians and the Muslims, there’s the major Battle of Armageddon ahead and I suppose that if that battle is going to take place whilst Donald J Trump is still commander-in-chief at the White House, awesome US spiritual firepower will probably be deeply involved in the final outcome in which Good ( God’s side) will obliterate evil ( the d-evil & his disciples, his genocidal disciples )
Would Trump be fighting on the same side as the Mahdi’s army?
At such a time, Trump could be saying like Lincoln, “Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God's side, for God is always right”
In the meanwhile, there are other matters such as Baba Kadiri's latest epistle to his Romans - the ideologically born-again mythical descendants of Romulus and Remus - later on Adam & Eve, now being tarnished as little tittle-tattle tarradiddle intellectuals; “tarradiddle intellectuals” he labels them.
Elsewhere, he has referred to the same ilk as “petty foggers” who - out of context - are specialists in gobbledygook - and if we lack the necessary sense of humour and generosity we would be inclined to agree with Lord Chief Justice Oohay’s rule that “an ad hominem should not be used as an argument”. The fact is that just like flattery, they ( ad homimens ) can cut both ways: sycophantically referring to someone as the Messiah or Lord is no ad hominem according to some other people’s holy books, but may be anathema to others. I am curious as to how Baba Kadiri is going to respond to the rhetorical belligerence of Brer Oluwatoyin Vincent Adepoju, his interlocutor . If it’s justice we’re about, I think that Adepoju’s main thrust ought to be centred on matters arising out of Torah : Genesis 4: 10
If it’s ultimately nuclear war that the devils are thinking about as the final solution, it must give pause for further reflection, conscious musing , one thought after the other in the present tense continuous, like a waterfall, like when I took Nathan to listen to Allen Ginsberg reading his Plutonian Ode at the Kulturhouse in Stockholm in January, 1983 during my two month holiday leave in Sweden.
