Oluomo Dr. Oluseyi Atanda is a medical doctor and an Ifa priest. Atanda was born in Lagos on the 29th March, 1975 into the family of Jagun Oje-Ogidigba, Osogbo, Osun State. He attended Immaculate Heart Comprehensive High School, Maryland, Lagos, where he graduated in 1992. He later graduated from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, where he trained as a medical doctor in 2003. He subsequently observed his mandatory internship programme at LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, on merit. Seyi’s quest for knowledge and excellence drove him to pursue his postgraduate medical training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology immediately after his national youth service year at Lautech Teaching Hospital and subsequently qualified as a Fellow of The National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in the Faculty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2012.
Dr Atanda was appointed a Consultant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Lautech Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, where he works to date. He has also travelled far and wide to garner more experience to improve his medical practice. He is a Fertility Specialist and Laparoscopic Surgeon and a member of the Society of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians of Nigeria (SOGON) and the European Society of Human and Reproductive Endocrinology (ESHRE). He is also a member of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA).
Dr Atanda, to his credit has various publications in both local and international journals, for which some of his publications have won best paper awards of the respective journals.
Dr Oluseyi Atanda, a seasoned Ifa Priest, is presently the President Traditional Religion Worshippers Association, State of Osun.
