It was odumegwu ojukwu  ex biafran leader who refered to obafemi awolowo as the best president nigeria never had.  Now  Senator Girei has just  described  yemi osinbajo as the best presidential  candidate  that the primaries  did not  produce. 

Obafemi  Awolowo  was the vice chairman  of the federal  executive Council and minister of finance ,the chief strategist of the biafran war,under the headship  of General yakubu Gowon  up to the time of the Biafran war whereas yemi osinbajo is vice president  during the boko haram  war under the leadership  of major General  muhammadu Buhari.

Obafemi  Awolowo  and yemi  osunbajo were both  born  in the month of march.awolowo on march 6 1909 and osinbajo  on march 8 1957.

Awolowo  and yemi  osinbajo  both studied  at the London  school  of economics.

They are both lawyers rising   to the rank of senior advocate  of nigeria.

Yemi Osinbajo  is the grand son in law of obafemi Awolowo.
