Dear colleagues, partners, and community members,

You are invited to join an urgent Policy Webinar on Nigeria’s Country of Particular Concern (CPC) designation taking place tomorrow,

Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 10:00 AM EST | 9:00 AM CST | 5:00 PM WAT

Register on Zoom: https://bit.ly/NigeriaCPC

This is a critical moment for Nigeria, the Nigerian American community, and U.S. foreign policy. this is regarding Donald Trump's recent warning that the U.S. may take military action “guns-a-blazing” if the Nigerian government continues to allow attacks on Christians - a message which could raise concerns regarding future immigration policy, and the broader U.S.-Nigeria relationship affecting diaspora advocacy.

The CPC designation carries serious implications for security cooperation, humanitarian assistance, migration pathways, sanctions, diplomatic relations, and domestic stability inside Nigeria. Our goal is to provide nuance, clarity, and responsible policy analysis at a time when the national conversation is dominated by confusion, fear, and oversimplified narratives.
