US Festival 1983

Doesn't look like there's much activity here, but I wanted to weigh
in...

In a life that's seen and done everything and everyone, on 4
continents and 18 countries, and well over two thousand major
concerts, the US Festival 1983 remains the best 3 Days of my Life.
Prime physical and financial shape, much psychedelics, got
laid...twice, saw the best music in the world - much of which would
remain influential for decades, danced in sun-drenched beauty in the
largest crowds since Woodstock and IOW (with a MUCH better line-up).
It set a standard for sheer sensual and sophisticated overindulgence
that has yet to be repeated (though Coachella can get pretty close).
Such emphasis on quality at every level of production and execution is
rare these days...too damn expensive, alas.
