If I go to the Google Groups home page for this group: http://groups.google.com/group/upa_11th_edition_rules

It says that “Discussions aren't available right now. We're sorry. Try again shortly.”. And has said that every time I have checked for many weeks.

I thought that perhaps this group was dead and replaced by the new USAUltimate.org Blogs/Forums functionality. (BTW – I still cannot logon to the new forums at http://boards.usaultimate.org/forum.php).

So – what is the status of this group?

Is it going to continue?
Has it been replaced by the new USAUltimate boards?

Why does the home page say it is not available right now – but I have gotten two responses today alone on the TIP issue?

Just trying to figure out where things stand.

Thanks,

JJones

I'm not sure what you're talking about, I followed that link and I
don't see any such message, just the normal list of topics. It sounds
like a general error with Google groups though, nothing related to
what we're doing administratively.

The new forums are up and running, but still under some
reorganization. Your login is tied to your USAU account. Are you a
member? Eventually we plan to transition to the new forum exclusively,
at which point we'll make an announcement and close the Google group
to new posting.

Thanks.

Just now the home page for this group looks like it should. So I guess
just bad timing on my part.

RE: new forums/boards at USAU
I have contacted the webmaster there and they have reports of similar
problems to mine.
I can logon to the main USAU site only if I run IE8 in "in-private"
mode. Otherwise I get an error about 'page does not exist'.
I do know that you are supposed to logon to the forums/boards with
your USAU username, minus the '@domain.com' part. But this will not
work under any circumstances I have found. IE8 in "in-private" mode
does not work, and neither does Firefox. The webmaster is aware of
this problem and looking for a solution.

Thanks,
JJones

I don't have any direct involvement with the USAU website (or forums), but I use Chrome and it seems to work for me.

Hey Jon,

What about us Canucks? How do we get access to the board?

( FYI - I'm a freshly minted observer as of this summer.)

Despite the name, as far as I know there's nothing preventing poutine-lovers from joining USAU (last I checked Furious, Goat, Capitols, etc. were in the series).
