Hi all,
At our weekly meeting this week, Mark will be leading a discussion on planning and transportation in small and medium sized cities, drawing on his experience interning for the city of Cincinnati.  As urban planning fanatics (or maybe that’s just me..), we like to talk about the New Yorks, Tokyos, and Bostons of the world, but most of the world’s population doesn’t live in megacities, and there are plenty of exciting issues in smaller places as well - such as, how do you run a transit system in a city with little density or demand for it?  How do you slow sprawl when there aren’t many attractive urban neighborhoods to serve as an alternative?  Join us tomorrow/Tuesday at 9pm at 72 Pro Row.

Also, if you’re interested in going on the NY trip, see my earlier email, and be sure to come to the meeting tomorrow because we’ll be discussing the trip right afterwards.   If you can’t make it, please let me know so that I know you’re still interested.
