What's up(3)?
Since we haven't had a chance to meet yet this semester, I want to make sure you all know about an exciting lecture we've organized.
You may know Daniel Abramson as your professor for Intro to Architecture, Histories of Modern Architecture, Boston Architecture and Urbanism or as the Director of the Architectural Studies program. You may not. In any case, Daniel Abramson's work on obsolescence in architecture is not to be missed.
Join us next Friday 2/6 from 3-4:30pm in SoGo for a special look into Abramson's work. From Columbia and Harvard, to Princeton and conferences
around the world, Abramson’s lectures continue to
inspire thought and reflection upon the volatile nature of the
built environment, how it is perceived and characterized, and
the forces by which it is shaped. His book entitled Obsolescence: An Architectural History will be published later this year by the University of Chicago press.
Expect a clear and concise 50 minute lecture, followed by discussion and refreshments.
Hope to see you all there!
And remember, our first meeting is this coming Tuesday, 2/3 from 8-10pm in UEP's White House (72 ProRow!)
Best,
Max TC
