Hey guys,

I hope everyone is hanging in there!

I just got this e-mail (below) regarding Jumbo Days on April 18th, 19th, and 26th from 12:30PM-2PM in Carmichael Lounge. Would anyone be interested in representing UP3 to prospective students? I will not be available tomorrow, but I can run the booth for part of the time on the 19th and 26th. Of course, no worries if you're not available, but it would be nice to meet prospective students. After all, maybe their parents are urban planners and you would get to meet them!

Get back to me if you're interested. Otherwise, see you guys tomorrow night at our meeting as usual.

Best,
RR

Hi UP3!

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions would like to invite your group to participate in this year's April Open House for prospective freshmen (officially known as Jumbo Days).

For the first time, we are having an Academic Fair in Carmichael Lounge showcasing the different majors on campus. Prospective students will have a chance to speak with student or faculty representatives from each academic department. The event should be an excellent opportunity to showcase interesting classes, research, or other opportunities within the programs and provide an opportunity for prospective students to ask specific questions to current students and faculty.

I am writing to you on behalf of the Jumbo Days advisory committee and the Admissions office to see if anyone in your group would represent Urban Planning.

This year, Jumbo Days will be held on
Thursday, April 18th
Friday, April 19th
Friday, April 26th

The Academic Fair will be held from 12:30PM-2:00PM on each of these days in Carmichael Lounge. Each group is designated a table in the room. If possible, please bring along a visual aid (such as a UP3 poster) to help engage the prospective students and their families. Your primary initiative can be to represent your organization rather than the Academic department, but prospective students will most likely ask a lot about the major as well.

If you are interested in signing up, we would love it if you could have representatives present all three days. If that's not possible, please let us know which days you are and are not available (on this form<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1mowc1fBj69uSDgmKPYK5Sb_jIgcsCALYftwklawiRPw/viewform>) so we can look elsewhere in your department for the day(s) you are absent. We look forward to hearing from you!

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns! We're looking forward to working with you to make this an amazing fair.

Best,
Abha Gallewale
Jumbo Days Academic Committee
