Hey All!

Just wanted to make you aware of a free online course offered by Coursera called Maps and the Geospatial Revolution. It's a great basic introduction to maps, giving you the opportunity to explore Arc GIS online and get a feel for mapping. The course, taught by Dr. Anthony C. Robinson at Penn State, has garnered a lot of attention - there are over 30,000 enrolled students!

Registration is free - the course is in its second week, but it won't be hard to catch up if you have the time! Make sure to check out other courses at Coursera and EdX.org for that matter as well - both websites have beautifully designed interfaces and appear to be at the forefront of online course technology with courses offered by U Michigan, BU, Harvard, MIT, and many more.

Enjoy the summer and feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the course or UP3.
