Hi all,

Join UP3 for three upcoming events!

1. Migration and Cities - Dr. Anna Hardman, Tuesday, March 31st at 8PM, 72 ProRow (White House).
25% of Boston's population was born outside the US. At this week's meeting, come hear Professor Hardman discuss how migrants -- both domestic and international -- influence and interact with cities and their economies. Dr. Anna Hardman, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics, will discuss the challenges and opportunities in urban housing, transportation, and jobs that arise from global migration, drawing on examples from cities worldwide.

2. Green T at Tufts - Wednesday, April 1st at 12:00PM, Dowling 745B.  [Free food]
You are invited to share your ideas about the Boston & College Avenue intersection (and surrounding buildings), as well as the future MBTA Green Line station planned at the site as part of the Green Line Extension. How would you imagine using the Green Line to travel to and from Tufts' Medford/Somerville campus? Have thoughts about what you’d like to see at the station? Where do you feel unsafe as a pedestrian or bicyclist? Think there should be more sidewalk space at the intersection? Would you like bike lanes? A crosswalk between Anderson Hall and the Memorial Steps? Places to sit and congregate? Your input could make a difference in how the intersection is redesigned! Join us for a design charette, beginning with a brief presentation of current intersection design proposals, followed by facilitated breakout design workshops. Green tea and food will be provided!

3. Phoenix Planning on Tuesday, April 7th. We will be making final preparations for our research trip to the Southwest!

Best,
Rayn
