National (UK) Community and Voluntary Sector Seminar: Friday 24 and Saturday 25 March 2006

that Branches are entitled to send delegates to this forum. If you have
an interest or think your branch should be represented then you will
need to raise it within your branch structure.

This circular invites branches to send community and voluntary sector
members to a National Seminar to be held on Friday 24 and Saturday 25
March 2006 in London.
A seminar for members employed in the community and voluntary sector
will be held on Friday 24 to Saturday 25 March 2006 at Friends Meeting
House, 173-177 Euston Road London, NW1 2BJ. Please can you draw this
to the attention of these members in your branch.
The seminar will run from 5 pm on Friday 24 to around 4 pm on Saturday
25 March. We have invited Stuart Etherington, chief executive of the
National Council for Voluntary Organisations, as the keynote speaker
for the event and the format will be a mix of workshops and
presentations. The four proposed workshops are:
· Information & Consultation Regulations
· Bargaining for Organising
· Pensions
· Health & Safety
