As believers of the word, and children of the Most High God, we aspire
to walk a perfect life before man and God. It is our hearts desire.
Yet, there are children of the kingdom of God who fall from time to
time. Please, don't confuse jumping down with falling down.
So, let me take the time to explain the difference. Falling down is
when you find yourself unexpectedly and unintentionally engaged in
that which displeases God. Perhaps, it was a thought and not a natural
act. Maybe, you have not yet come into the knowledge that it is SIN.
Or maybe, you were like Peter and thought that you had it ALL
together, but STILL found yourself denying Jesus three times before
the cock crowed. It does not matter if it was you and your potential
spouse somewhere making plans for the duration of your lives and your
emotions got the best of you or if it was something as simple as
entertainning the type of conversation in which God's word says, "Let
it not be spoken of . . ." Falling is falling. Falling is to land in
an unnatural manner without directly and intentionally contributing to
the thing which brought about the failure to be able to balance ones
self in a standing or seated position.
On the other hand, jumping down is the INTENTIONAL disregard,
planning, engaging in, or carrying out of that which does not permit
the light of God to shine through you. This includes having an
unpleasant attitude towards others (i.e. failing to show the love of
God toward your fellow man). God's word says, "With love and kindness
have I drawn thee." Jesus told his disciples, "By this will men know
that you are mine, that you have love one for another." Charity is not
giving; it is love and the bible says, "Without charity, it is
IMPOSSIBLE to PLEASE God."
We know that if what we do and say is pleasing before the Lord, it
will be well before man. Or will it?
According to the word of God, a RIGHTEOUS man falls seven times in one
day. What then makes him righteous? He has enough sense while he is
down to turn from the thing in which he has fallen into, repent, seek
God's face, pray, and get back up again.

The bible says that Job was a PERFECT and UPRIGHT man in GOD'S
eyesight. Yet, we read about how Job complained and even CURSED the
DAY in which he was born when his trials became overbearing for him.
With mankind, this type of behavior makes one unrighteous. In the
eyesight of Job's friends, he had done something wrong for God to
allow such affliction to come upon him. Yet, I read in the bible
somewhere that God LOOKS for a people that He can show Himself STRONG
in. His STRENGTH is made perfect in our WEAKNESS. Now, exactly what
does that mean? It means that no matter how difficult or discouraging
the trial may be, we are DETERMINED to praise God and give him glory.
After our complaining is done, we CHOOSE to be stedfast and unmoveable
in the will of God. In other words, we refuse to become the SERVANTS
that Satan desires for us to be. It is the will of the enemy of our
souls that we become self pitying and blame others for the unpleasant
things that we encounter in life. However, as believers and doers of
the word of God when we fall down, we are able to get back up. "Why?"
Because we know that God is JUST, WILLING, and ABLE to forgive us and
keep us from falling into the same trap again. When we realize this,
get past our own pity parties, stop crying, "Lord, why me?" and start
saying, "Yes, Lord. Keep making me. Keep molding me. Keep my mind
stayed on Thee and in perfect peace," we will get back up again. For
we know that if we suffer FOR Christ because we stand on the word of
God while refusing to bow to Bahl, we KNOW that we can be confident
that we WILL have eternal life.
Perhaps a husband or wife was having confusion in the home and allowed
their heart to be drawn towards another because of the discomfort at
home. To LOOK upon another and LUST after them is to commit adultery
in ones own heart. Perhaps there is someone who entertain the thoughts
of returning to the life they once lived due to financial woes. The
LOVE of money is the ROOT to ALL evil. Perhaps someone failed to pray
for another person, but shared their situation with another although
they did not have that individuals permission. It is written for us
not to speak of another's evil doing and that we are not to entertain
vain babblings. It is gossip. Perhaps an individual looked at
another's outward appearance and came to a conclusion concerning them.
It is judgement, and it is written, "Judge not that ye shall not be
judged. For with the same measure in which ye judge, it SHALL be
measure back unto you." Perhaps there is one who said, "I can't do
this or that or go through a certain situation." The word of God says,
" I CAN do ALL things THROUGH Christ which strengthens me," "Let the
weak say, I am STRONG," and this is my favorite, "All things WORK
together for the GOOD to them that LOVE the LORD and are the CALLED
according to His purposes." Perhaps, pride got in the way of a
testimony of deliverance that God instructed you to share. It is
written, "Disobedience IS as WITCHCRAFT in the kingdom of God." Nineva
would have been destroyed if Jonah had not obeyed. Better yet, Jonah
would have never ended up in the belly of the fish if he had been
obedient from the start.
There are so many ways in which we as children of God can FALL
especially in a moment of weakness. We can sometimes fall without the
realization of what we have done. I say to you, "Ask yourself, 'Have
ALL of my actions PLEASED the Lord today?'" If the answer to any of
that which you have done is, "No," you have indeed fallen. Here is the
latest one that God dealt with me on, "Do all things without
murmuring," in other words complaining. Have you taken notice of the
things you say concerning a situation or circumstance? As-long-as the
soul is housed in the body, the flesh has DAILY self-ressurection
power. Are you sure that everyday, all day you are not permitting your
flesh to rise and show itself? If the answer is, "No," keep in mind
the words of the prayer that Jesus instructed the disciples to pray.
Give us this day our DAILY bread (what we need to survive and make it
through one more day). Forgive us of OUR debts (WRONGS, SHORT COMINGS,
and "Yes" SIN). The prayer is strategically set up this way in order
that we are asking God to forgive us even for the wrong in which we
are not yet aware of. Keep praying. God will bring it to the forefront
of your knowledge.
All of these things constitute FALLING. A little leaven leaveneth the
WHOLE lump. There is no BIG sin or LITTLE sin; there is SIMPLY sin.
That which DISPLEASES God.
We fall down, but we do not WILLFULLY and INTENTIONALLY take back into
our SPIRITS the things of which God has delivered us from. If we
cannot move forward, we do not go backwards. We stand still, even if
that means that we MUST sit down to remain rooted in the place that
God has brought us too. Sometimes, we become overly absorbed with what
God is doing through us and begin to entertain self glory rather than
remaining humble. God said that He will NOT share His glory with
ANOTHER. That INCLUDES the vessel in which He uses. It is written,
"Let men see your GOOD works that they might GLORIFY your FATHER which
is in Heaven."
Can you clearly see some of the ways in which we can and do fall? For
if any man says that he is WITHOUT sin, he lies and the TRUTH is not
within him. The grace and mercy of God by the blood of Christ Jesus is
what has pardoned our sins. Therefore, if you have fallen or do fall,
get back up again. However, make sure that you are not jumping down.
The act of preplanning and then carrying out that thing which
displeases God.
May the word of God bless you in all of your endeavors as you pursue
to fulfill the desire of the spirit man to do the will of the Father
which is in Heaven.
