ATTENTION: The students of the UNCG Graduate Film Program are
organizing a closed local casting session on the 14th and 20th of
January 2006. Casting Session A on the 14th (Saturday) will be held
from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Casting Session B on the 20th (the following
Friday) will be held from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM. ALL POTENTIAL ACTORS
MUST RSVP THE GRAD STUDENT ASSOCIATION IN ORDER TO AUDITION VIA EMAIL
AT uncgbc...@aol.com! Please list the roles you are are
interested in along with ALL pertinent contact information. We will
email a time and location for your on-campus audition to you. RSVP
ASAP as audition times are limited and the audition application process
ENDS January 16th, 2006. Later audition dates and times will be
scheduled if necessary. Please contact the producer via their listed
email address with any questions concerning posted characters.
UNDERSTAND that producer contact does NOT substitute for Grad Student

SYNOPSIS: Bottle Tree is the story of Mosbey, a young man in the rural
south, on the day he stops drinking and emerges from mourning his
mother's death.
CHARACTERS:
Mosbey 1: Black male, 18 to 25. Mosbey is gaunt from a year of
suffering and self-abuse. Ultimately, Mosbey is a romantic, which has
made the death of his mother even more difficult for him to move past.
Mosbey's experience of loss has bread in him a new cynicism, a
reaction to his sensitivity. "Life's chance," Mosbey now
believes. "Who lives, who dies, you can't explain it."
Mosbey 2: Black male, 7 to 10. This character is Mosbey as a child. He
has a strong connection to his maternal grandmother. He looks to her
for wisdom on how to interpret the world. He sees her as a source of
strength.
