Dear IA IM WG participants,
Firstly, thank you very much for your participation
in the recent survey regarding the new direction of this group. We had
an excellent response rate that was representative of the active participants
in the group. This, combined with your active participation in the group,
as well as bilateral conversations, has allowed us to put together an options
paper for the future direction of the group. This paper will help
inform our discussions at the next IA IM WG meeting.
As a reminder the next meeting will be on
Thursday the 31st of January 2008 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm Geneva
time. The meeting will be held in Room is XXV, which is in the new building
Door 40. Audio conference details will be circulated when they become
available.
The agenda for the next meeting is more free-flowing
than previous meetings, but will include the following components.
1) Presentation
of IASC website Mock-up (OCHA) - 2.00 to 2.30 2) Brief
discussion related to final report to the IASC on the 10 recommendations
2.30 to 2.45 3) Discussion
of Survey and resulting Options Paper (see attached) 3.00 pm onwards
(9.00 am NY) 4) Formation
of Drafting Committees (Future workplans & TORs) " "
As always, all agency IM practitioners’
and interested parties are encouraged to attend. Because this meeting will
take significant steps in the formation of the new group, participants
are kindly requested to be able formally represent their agency in respect
to the discussions pertaining to the future direction of the group.
