Dear IA IM WG

The Concept Note for the proposed IASC Task Force on Information
Management has been finalised and will be circulated shortly to your
respective IASC-WG representatives by Kasidis Rochanakorn, Chair of
the IASC Working Group (IASC-WG) and Director of OCHA Geneva. The
deadline for electronic endorsement by the IASC-WG is 10 September
2008.

The Concept Note is available at http://groups.google.com/group/UN-IA-IMWG/web/iasc-task-force-on-im

We encourage you to brief your IASC-WG focal point on the paper,
requesting them to demonstrate your agency's support for the IASC Task
Force on IM by electronically endorsing the Concept Note and proposed
Terms of Reference.

Best regards

Dear Colleagues,

On 22 August 2008, the draft concept note and ToR to establish an IASC
Task Force on Information Management (IASC TF on IM) was sent to the
IASC WG for consideration and electronic endorsement. The deadline
for submitting endorsement/non endorsement was 10 September. The
proposal was to be considered as being adopted by the IASC WG if no
changes were submitted by WG members by 10 September.

In summary, responses from 7 Agencies and 1 Cluster (Nutrition) were
received by OCHA.

The comments received suggested revisions, additions and deductions
from the objectives and results. Given this, OCHA will attempt to
produce a revised Concept Note and ToR by Tuesday 21 October 2008.
This revised Concept Note and ToR will then be circulated to the IASC
WG for comments and for possible endorsement.
