UMPC Meeting June 21

The next meeting of the Upper Monroe Planning Collaborative (UMPC) is Tuesday, June 21 at 7pm at The Corner Place (983 Monroe).  UMPC is involved in following up on the ideas generated during our design charette last fall.  At the last meeting, on June 7, we agreed on five topics for special focus.  The design center will prepare detailed concept drawings for each of these areas and present them to the neighborhood in August.  Our input is important in making sure that the design center work is focused in the best way to help us achieve our goals.  With these concepts in place, we will have an important tool for communicating our goals for the neighborhood.  This is always important when developments and grants are under consideration.  The Design Center folks will be there on June 21, so it’s a great opportunity to see what they’ve been doing and to provide your input.
