Hi EnCo,

Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day 💚

Weekly Meeting
Join us this Thursday, October 16th, 7-8pm in room 347 of the IMU to plant mini spider plants and paint their pots!! All materials will be provided and we will most likely be moving outside to Hubbard Park, but meet in the regular room. 🪴🪏🌱

October Monthly Challenge: send a picture of yourself to EmmaJean or Kate (in GroupMe) with your homemade eco brick to be put in a drawing for a sustainable prize at our October 23rd meeting!

Upcoming EnCo Events
(next week is very busy!)

Free Market 👕👖📚 Monday 10/20 - Tuesday 10/21 (12-5pm) in Hubbard Park
  • Next Monday and Tuesday EnCo will be hosting the Free Market where we accept items like clothing, trinkets, shoes, books, etc. so that other people (students, public, faculty) can take what they want from others that don't want those things anymore.
  • This is a sustainable event that reduces waste and deters you from buying new products! Everything is FREE. Leftover items will be donated to local orgs (Crowded Closet, DVIP, Shelter House).
  • EnCo will accept donations at our weekly meetings or DAY OF (Monday and/or Tuesday) so collect stuff that you don't want or need anymore!
  • Sign up to volunteer!! Click this link to sign up for a time slot where EnCo members will be facilitating the Free Market pop-up. This is a super low commitment and all help is appreciated! Email us with questions.
Bonfire at EmmaJean's 🔥 Thursday 10/23 7-8pm
  • Next week's weekly meeting will NOT BE IN THE IMU. Instead, we will be meeting at EmmaJean's house for an EnCo bonfire! More details to come next week. Anyone is welcome!
Trash Crawl 🗑️🚶Sunday 10/26 11-1pm
  • We will be walking around Kinnick and downtown IC to pick up after the football game Saturday. The meetup spot will be shared next week.
  • Bags and gloves will be provided!
