Hi everyone!

I'm trying to plan out the ground breaking for our garden, which we have decided will be on Saturday April 4. I need your help first off with the food--we have decided to do a sort of potluck-style get together. Keep in mind that our committee and group will be the ones bringing food, but there will be others from the community and university there, so plan accordingly.

We're hoping that we can stick as closely to a local/organic type of food as possible, but if you want to stray slightly from that you are welcome to. We need people bring food, and I'm going to try to round up drinks from Dining so we don't have to deal with that. The event will be from 1-3 in the afternoon, so try to think "lunch-ish" food. Even if you can't make the event, you are welcome to drop something off at my apt ahead of time and I can bring it over.

Please respond with what you will bring and how much as soon as possible so I can figure out if we need anything else.

Thank you SO much for all your help in advance. We won't be able to make this event happen without your support!

Cheers,
Connie

I think it makes sense for our committee to bring lots of food, but i think it would actually be cool if we invited the community (via flyers, email blurbs and general advertising) to bring food as well.  Might increase the communal sense of the event.

I think ill bring something large having to do with potatoes.

Blessings,
graham
