From what I can see, what you're experiencing is something related to screenpixel itself, and not the formula. It looks like you can zoom out, and look around once zoomed out as much as you'd like (as you move it, it changes the image too). But once you zoom in to a certain point, you can't zoom in any further, or move about. I tried zooming in beyond the stopping point, and rendering to disk, but the image remains what it was before. I think there is some kind of limitation with screenpixel and zooming that has to do with the height and width of the image.
The UF help section says this about screenpixel:
This predefined symbol contains the pixel coordinates of the pixel currently
being calculated, packed in a complex number. The real part contains the
x-coordinate; the imaginary part contains the y-coordinate. These coordinates
can also be accessed using the #x and #y predefined symbols, but there is an
important difference.
The coordinates accessible through #screenpixel are float coordinates, while
#x and #y contain int coordinates. For normal fractal calculations, this doesn't
matter. It does matter, however, when using the Render to Disk feature
with anti-aliasing. In this
case, Ultra Fractal can subdivide pixels and calculate pixels that actually fall
between the physical pixels on the screen. The coordinates of these subdivided
pixels cannot be properly expressed using int values, of course.
It also says this further below:
Notes
When anti-aliasing, the real and imaginary parts of #screenpixel range from
0 up to and including #width and #height. If you use #screenpixel to index an array, you
should declare the array with size [#width + 1, #height + 1].
Unfortunately, there isn't anything in the help section that describes the relationship between screenpixel and pixel, nor is there anything that talks about its behavior in a fractal image. I tried to google the tern "screenpixel" (and "screen pixel"), but nothing relevant came up
Maybe someone with the knowledge can help clue us in to what's going on with screenpixel in this UPR, and in the formula? If so, we'd really appreciate it
