Hi all,
Please try out the new formulas in mmf5.ufm and mmf5.ucl - they are
the "Multi Bailout" formulas and are designed to be used together.
They're specifically designed for the detection and colouring of areas
of periodic bailout i.e. many of those areas that are normally
'Inside' - they'll be coloured as outside if you enable the periodic
attractor bailout in the Multi Bailout Formula.
This means that colouring such areas is much faster (at least at
higher max iteration counts) since they now bailout rather than always
using max iterations.
The Multi Bailout colouring currently allows you to split the
colouring into 3 specific types - divergent, convergent (point
attractor) and periodic atttractor each of which type has their own
colouring options.
Also when there are multiple point attractors you can add a
contribution to the colouring based on which point was found at
bailout - the same goes for periodic areas where you can add a
contribution based on the period found and/or the specific attractor's
position within the period.
There is fairly comprehensive help via the UF hints.
I'd appreciate any comments/suggestions.
I uploaded here since it needs beta-testing but also because all
Damien's sites are down at the moment.
bye
Dave
