I don't know the particulars, but consider this photo a reminder to avoid distracted driving.

 

ESPECIALLY traveling to or from a call-out.  Common with SAR, there is an urgency and adrenalin excitement while heading out to a mission, and there is an associated drop in focus afterwards.  Both reduce your awareness of the task of driving.

 

The most recent SAR class I had discussed the statistics of personnel surviving the mission but getting in a wreck driving home... it was more dangerous going home than working in the field -- so keep your guard up, and if you aren't alert - don't drive.
