Greetings all,
I hope everyone found last week's class useful. Please send Natalia and I any feedback/comments/complaints.
Sorry about the spam to this list earlier this week. I've since required permission to join the list, so hopefully that will not happen again.
I've posted the notes for this week's class on the eebedia site (
http://hydrodictyon.eeb.uconn.edu/eebedia/index.php/UConn_UseRs_-_An_introduction_to_R), so you can look them over before class if you like.
We will be using Natalias treedata.txt again, so be sure to bring that.
Also, tomorrow we are going to ask for volunteers who have some data and an analysis in mind. This could be anything from linear regression to rearranging data to a more useful format. We don't want to get too deeply into complicated statistical procedures (as that is not the focus of the class), but common, straightforward analysis should be fine. Then we (including you) will present to the class your original data, discuss what you wanted to do with it, how you convinced R to do it for you, and some outcome. Any volunteers? We can talk about it tomorrow.
Adam & Natalia
