If you are going to training camp this coming weekend, read on!
We are staying at Morro Bay State Park. We are camping in the mountains (ish), so plan for riding in the 70s during the day and camping in the low 50s at night.
Here is a not entirely complete packing list to give you an idea of what to bring:
Clothing
- stuff to wear on the bike
-- 2 jerseys
-- 2 bibs
-- socks
-- bike shoes
-- helmet
-- warmers
-- sunglasses
- stuff to wear off the bike
-- layers! (ex long sleeve shirt, sweatshirt, shell)
-- some not bib pants so you aren't super gross (@Andy)
Food and Water
- water bottles
- breakfast (even if you don't normally eat breakfast, please bring something for the morning since we will be riding our bikes all day)
- snacks (for after the ride)
- a gallon jug of water so you don't have to rely on campsite water (I can't find any info about water at camp, sorry)
- dinner if you don't like pizza and ham/veggie-burgers
Shelter
- a sleeping bag (if you have one)
- tent (if you have one)
- sleeping mat (if you have one)
- a pillow
Hygiene/ Personal Care
- towel
- soap
- any medications you might need
- sunscreen
- one dollar bills to buy hot water tokens for the shower
- shower shoes for showering
- toothbrush and toothpaste
- deodorant
- wet wipes
Bike Stuff
- extra tubes and other flat changing materials
- any special tools that you need for your bike
- bike computer
Misc
- external battery thing for your phone
- flashlight for seeing at night
- bags for dirty laundry
- homework to do offline
- a sense of adventure
