ICT Invitation

I haven't gotten the official ICT invitation (perhaps Matt has?) but NAQT's website indicates that the D1 team earned a bid. The D2 team finished in the top half of the D2 field but would require like half the field to decline invitations to get a bid, which isn't going to happen in D2. ICT is on March 30.

We need to decide by (probably a week or so from now) whether or not we are accepting the invitation to ICT and, preferably relatively soon, who will be on that team. A couple of options for ICT that we did not have for SCT:

-Brendan Shapiro recently passed his quals and has told me he is interested in coming back to practice
-Matt is graduating in June and will therefore lose his D2 eligibility regardless of whether or not he plays ICT

Let's discuss this at practice/via e-mail over the next week. I'm temporarily calling practice still on because some Uni High kids might be showing up.

I have not gotten anything from NAQT.

 

While I do find the idea of going interesting, I already have two trips booked next quarter and have blown my travel budget.

 

The other potential problem: since we did not have CBCT this year, and had to split the profits of Baby Anteater, the club finances are not at a point where we can provide much for the trip.  We could pay for registration and maybe two nights at the hotel but not much beyond.
