Its been like 4 months since anything has been discussed here. Or has it drifted over to the main UDB Group?
I am interested in the conventional heli development. I don't have code skills, but do have platform resources and a long history with RC helis'.

Yes, unfortunately this has had to take a back seat due to some family
business. I plan to get back to it at some point.

Hey Al,

There are a few of us here still closely monitoring the threads. My
Compass 6HV arrived last month :). Just need a week spare time to
model it in CAD before I assemble it. Once we have a solidworks model
we should be able to import it into SimMechanics and test our
controllers in simulation (matlab/simulink). I'm still quite keen on
designing a model reference robust adaptive controller (MRAC). Using a
tool like real-time workshop I should be able export the controller to
code c-code but like you I have doubts as to my abilities to integrate
any such controller with the latest code. we shall see..

I'm also very interested in the heli development. It was some quad development in the pipe, but I'm 100% regular heli. My hope is that someone picks up the ball and make the heli an integrated part of MP3.x / MP4.x?

It's so much nice routine in MP3.x that really wuold be nice to have in the heli firmware (camera tracking, dead reckoning, etc, etc)

I have flown the MP-H version of the Firmware and it worked as it should for stabilizing the airframe, but I hope a basic stabilizing mode for heli will soon be included in MP3.x (It's really a mixer and then some that needs to be done to get started).

I think that the basics isn't to far away since it's been done for the MP2.x (MP-H is built on this i.i.r.c)

Best regards
//Marc

Good to see that there is still interest in the Regular heli side of the UDV development. I am an old heli guy for sure. But I also have delved into the quad/Tri rotor area for a little while. I have about 4 multirotors that I scratch built and they fly well. But they got boring pretty quick. I own about a dozen heli's (down from 25 or so) from 450's to gasser camera ship. Also interested in stabilizing a larger coaxial. I have a couple friends that have a model capable of larger payloads. But for now I'm comitting my 450 and 600E to the autopilot effort.

But I'm still playing with my EasyStar though. Learning how to use the Matrix system. Always excited about stuff like this...
