I did an experimental port of Tycoon to PlanetLab. See
http://tycoon.hpl.hp.com/browser/src/Tycoon/Virtualization/PlanetLabNodeManager.py
I haven't tried this in a while, so it may have fallen out of sync with
the PL API and/or the Tycoon virtualization API. Also, you need special
capabilities from PlanetLab central for your slice to run this auctioneer.
The basic idea is that you run an auctioneer in a PL slice with the
virtualization system set to "PlanetLabNodeManager" rather than
"Xen303". This auctioneer uses the above code to communicate with the
NodeManager to manage other slices.
