Tycoon on Planetlab documentation

I have been trying to get tycoon working on planetlab. I have got the
client to work following the docs. however, I had problems with
installing the auctioneer. I was ondering if there is any available
documentation for installing, and administering hosts on planet lab.

I am new to Tycoon; I have read the papers, and I was intrested in getting my resources on my planetlab hosts managed by Tycoon. So, I am looking for documentation for installing, and managing the auctioneer on planet lab. all the documentations I found are for Xen.

Do you plan to setup Xen on planetlab hosts or you are expecting that it
should work without Xen?

Hi Mohamed,

I did an experimental port of Tycoon to PlanetLab. See

I haven't tried this in a while, so it may have fallen out of sync with
the PL API and/or the Tycoon virtualization API. Also, you need special
capabilities from PlanetLab central for your slice to run this auctioneer.

The basic idea is that you run an auctioneer in a PL slice with the
virtualization system set to "PlanetLabNodeManager" rather than
"Xen303". This auctioneer uses the above code to communicate with the
NodeManager to manage other slices.
