to Twin Cities Vintage Motorcyclists
Great non-event this year. The twin cities made an especially strong
showing.
The Cheese-heads may need to step it up and represent and maybe one of
you will
be in the first finishers one day. When is the last time a
Milwaukeean finished
in the top three?

I spent most of the day chasing JBweld on his Guzzi, I almost pissed
myself
laughing when JB believed the route sheet that WI 159 went east from
Devil's Lake
and I got to see him get swallowed by the state park. Ian stopped
just short of
the entrance and we both did a 180 and rode as fast as we could. Ian
ran away
from me in Rock Springs while I was meeting one of the most
professional and
charming sheriffs ever. Is the written warning on my WI record? How
long? Want
me to scan and post? BillW from Minn met the same officer and
received almost
the same treatment.

While getting some Centex farmer gas in Modena the Minn crew led by a
Ducati
?Dueval? (Corsican for Fugly) and swept by a Seca 400 roared past me
and I gave
chase. Damn that fugly Duck was fast. He'd out corner me even in the
corners
full of pea gravel, one would expect that enormous back tire to become
Nancy
Kerrigan in the slightest loose gravel, so hate the bike and honor the
riders
skills? Sometime after Modena I spotted a green Kawi KL replica
parked with a
rubber band Duc and a Triumph. One of them punctured his oil filter
and left a
trail of oil for a hundred yards.

The Grain Belts tasted ever so good at 5:30pm. Thanks to Lucy of
Diamonds for
being the end point again. On the way home Ian and I rode the route
in reverse
from Durand to Devil's Lake. I think I had to stop 25 times on the
way home,
boy am I sore.

Good times, good times, can't wait until next year. I'm thinking
about doing it
on my Buell.
