You can find a group to ride with.  It sort of happens naturally as bike are on the route. That said you should come prepared to ride alone.  Riding with a group of more than 3 bikes and with differing skill levels and comfort level as to the pace can be a formula for a long long day.  Staying on the bike and only stopping for gas and essential breaks is the key.

 

Typically the first riders arrive in Minn around 4pm.  People are still arriving at 8pm and sometimes later.

So, I REALLY want to do this ride cuz I've been hearing about it for years now. None of my friends are able to get away and ride with me for that long. So, if I show up by myself at Fuel, do you think I might find another rider or two to hang with along the way?
