March 5th First Friday Participation

TDAC has been invited to participate in the First Fridays event on March 5th!  Are you in?

The First Friday of every month, Tucson Young Professionals holds a thematic networking / fundraising event at the Tucson Museum of Art.  The evening starts with a networking reception from 8 - 9pm, followed by food, events and entertainment from 9pm - 12am. Each networking reception has an interactive event related to the evening's theme. The March 5th event theme is Andy Warhol, coinciding with TMA's Warhol exhibit opening on February 26th.  

The activity concept is to invite three professionals associations with a creative focus, e.g. designers, artists, advertisers, to create soup can sculptures on the spot. Cans will be donated by guests (if you bring 3 cans before 9pm you get a $5 discount) and after the event given to the Community Food Bank. Guests can pick which sculpture/association to give their can to and then will get a name tag with an image related to the sculpture/concept. 

Members of the three associations would receive a special discount coupon - $5 for the whole evening if they come before 9pm. Usually it's $10 for just the networking reception or $20 for the whole evening. 

What it requires from the association is:

- A small team of people to create the sculpture from 8 - 9pm. Parameters are being finalized.

- Send out notice to your list announcing event and discount for association members.
