I accept criticism with an open mind...
But if I am being bullied... I cannot stand it...
I am not here to be BULLIED by someone who doesnt want to understand
my POV...

You must be thin-skinned. There were hardly any flames, not
real ones, anyway.

That was a reference to the general sci.math audience, not me.
From my own experience, there isn't a lot of followup to postings
on Collatz. My opinion is that it is endlessly fascinating. But my
opinion doesn't seem to be shared by many. Look how sparse this
group is.

Yet, people go on and on endlessly about Cantor, infinity, etc.
Read some of those threads sometime if you want to become familiar
with real flame wars.

But I have tried to spoonfeed you some information about Collatz,
for I've spent 10 years studying it. I thought I was doing you a
favor so you don't have to waste your time. But a baby that
spits out what's good for it is wasting my time, isn't it?

You do say thank you a lot. Yet your next "proof" is hardly any
better than the previous. And you say silly things like "I have a
proof,
but I haven't checked it yet." That betrays a lack of understanding
on your part.

Seriously, if you sent these "proofs" to a real journal, what
kind of response do you think you'll get from an actual peer
reviewer? Assuming they even bother to look at it.

Good luck with your journal submitions. Be sure and let us know
when one of your "proofs" gets selected for publication.
