Moonstruck Farms will be providing produce for the extras table again tomorrow and one item is the arugula. The arugula bags are filled to capacity this time around, but you will need to wash it. With no rain for four weeks now and we are planting more than we have in years it is time to tighten the water belt. We also apologize we will not be bringing the brussel sprouts. There were just too many aphids on them for picking, and we pulled them and fed to the cows who were delighted. The new crop is in the ground in a new location for later this season. We will be at market with our Pantry division for only for the first 30-45 minutes. Unfortunately our meat chick and next year's laying hen chicks delivery coincided with tomorrow and they have been traveling for two days instead of one and they will be hungry and thirsty and we want to get them settled in ASAP. We are taking turkey and chicken reservations so if you have any questions feel free to ask or email me at
moonstru...@verizon.net for details. Pork sides will be up for reservation as soon as we get the pens tractored and ready to go again. We do have two beef sides also still available if you are interested. Below is a link to an arugula recipe I saw in Better Homes and Gardens that looks good...I have not tried it yet so let me know if you do.
