As some of you know we have not run beef on the farm due to the exorbinant prices of calves, but this Falls prices I believe are the best we are going to get so we are loading up.  If you are interested please see the information below and email me any questions at moonstru...@verizon.net.  This will be it for two years most likely.

Grass Fed Beef Side

 

$1,400.00 per side of live beef paid to Moonstruck Farms

+ $70/side ($140 whole beef) slaughter paid to Barstow Country Butcher

+ $0.98/pound for cutting/wrapping paid to Barstow Country Butcher

Side of beef we guarantee 200 pounds but please be prepared to pay butcher fee in excess.  Our goal is beyond 200 pounds. 

Total Fee based on 200 pounds is $1666.00 ($8.83/pound for grass fed beef, excess of 200 pounds brings price per pound lower)

 

PAYMENT PROGRAM:

 

First payment (deposit to secure calves and feed) $500.00

Second payment two months later:  $100.00

Third payment four months later:  $100.00

Fourth payment six months later: $100.00

Fifth payment eight months later:  $100.00

Sixth payment ten months later:  $100.00

Seventh payment twelve months later:  $200.00

Eighth payment fourteen months later:  $200.00

Seventh and Final Payment to Barstow Butcher upon picking up or delivery of beef.  This is the $70.00 fee plus $.98/pound of hang weight. 

(Payment dates will be established and payment schedule emailed one prior to calves delivery).

 

Final Product estimate is 200 pounds+ which includes approximately the following:

25% misc. waste, soup bones etc

25% ground beef and stew meat (I suggest Eddie’s chili grind for chili and chorizo seasoning for chorizo to the most of this portion)

25% roasts

25% steaks

Please tell me with your order if you want the heart, liver, tongue, head etc.  otherwise standardly they are discarded at slaughter time, I will freeze for you with the exception of heads that need to be picked up at time of butcher.
