This event on January 31st at the Glaser Center looks so important, Transition US is co-hosting it. Please join us at this Center for Climate Protection informational evening with scientist Carl Mears. We hope to see you there!
What: Climate scientist Carl Mears will describe the implications of the recent 3 major studies on the climate crisis (IPCC, 4th National Assessment, Global Climate Project report), will address the question, “Is it too late?” and will answer questions. Following this will be a discussion of what we can do.
When: Thursday, Jan. 31, 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Doors open at 6:30 – mingling, light refreshments. Program runs from 7:00 to 8:30.
Where: The Glaser Center at 547 Mendocino Ave in Santa Rosa.

Center for Climate Protection board member Carl Mears is a senior scientist with Remote Sensing Systems, Santa Rosa, where he specializes in satellite-measured temperature data. Carl has served as a contributing author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the world’s foremost authority on global warming science. He is a member of two international working groups, the Global Climate Observing System Working Group on Atmospheric Reference Observations, and the WCRP Stratospheric Trends Working Group.
