Rare chance to see award-winnning international artists 'Tonus
Peregrinus' (check them out on the Naxos label - and google them)
performing early english choral music -
John Dunstaple the Godfather of Western harmony and the sweet and
soothing style known as la contenance Angloise.
Also works by Tallis, Tompkins and Sheppard as well as premieres of 3
works by up and coming contemporary choral composer Antony Pitts.
This promises to be a cool and soothing hour of musical bliss - don't
be put off by the fact that it is early choral music - even if its new
to you it's very approachable stuff.
