v2.3.0 assets:precompile error?

I'm confused. I was able to build this before, but started clean again and get this error.
bundle exec rake --trace assets:precompile RAILS_ENV=production
rake error log
bundle exec rake --trace assets:precompile RAILS_ENV=production
rake error log

OK, I tried an install again with rbenv selected ruby 2.3.5. All is well and tracks signs on. I carefully followed the online install page and it went fine.
