Cerebral Lounge is a creative production studio specializing in motion graphics, video editing & finishing, color correction, and high-quality video podcast production. We support agencies, television networks, brands, and production partners across every media platform.

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, technically savvy, energetic Junior Videographer to support both production and post-production. In this role, you will setup, shoot and edit video podcasts, maintain our video podcast space and gear, shoot and/or assist on other video shoots, support the editorial and design team and help with our QC processes. This is an in-person position. Accepting the role means you will report to our DC office on a daily basis with occasional travel to shoots and our Baltimore office as needed.

As this is a client-facing role, strong communication skills, professionalism and the ability to make clients feel supported and comfortable on set are essential.

Duties

  • Capture high-quality video for podcasts, interviews, b-roll and studio shoots.
  • Assist with camera prep, lens selection, lighting setups, and basic audio needs.
  • Work directly with producers and clients, maintaining a calm, confidence presence on set.
  • Maintain podcasts studio and production gear.
  • Assist in post-production in the following ways: Edit podcasts and social content. Support editorial staff by keeping drives catalogued and organized, maintaining video library, performing Quality Checks (QC), generating captions, assisting in uploading & delivery of final assets. Collaborate with editors and motion designers to ensure smooth project handoff between production and post.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lenses, exposure, and framing fundamentals.
  • Basic understanding of lighting principles (key/fill, color temperature, placement).
  • Experience with editing software (Adobe Premiere, Avid and/or Resolve. Knowledge of After Effects is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to communicate professionally with clients and talent.
  • Highly organized, reliable, and eager to learn and grow in both production and post.
  • A small reel or samples of camera work and editing projects (personal or school projects are welcome).
