We are seeking talented film students to create a short music video for a dynamic local band. The video should capture the spirit of youth, the thrill of reckless abandon, and the bittersweet nostalgia of growing up—all set against the vibrant backdrop of Baltimore. With a focus on live music and the camaraderie of a group of friends, we want you to bring a raw and authentic narrative to life.

Project Details:

  • Theme & Tone: Youthful energy, reckless abandon, and nostalgic moments.
  • Setting: Baltimore, with authentic local scenery and a spotlight on live music venues.
  • Style: Handheld, cinematic visuals that reflect the spontaneity and passion of youth.
  • Budget: $1000
  • Deliverables: A completed music video (approximately 3-5 minutes) alongside any behind-the-scenes or promotional material as agreed upon.

Additional Information to Include in Your Proposal:

  • Concept & Approach: Describe your creative vision and how you plan to capture the themes.
  • Portfolio/Sample Work: Links or attachments showcasing previous relevant work.
  • Timeline: A proposed schedule from pre-production through post-production, including key milestones.
  • Team Composition: Details on the roles and expertise of your team members.
  • Equipment & Resources: What equipment will be used and any additional technical resources. iPhone, handheld and lofi equipment are adequate if it captures the reality of your experience.
  • Cost Breakdown: A brief outline of how you intend to allocate the budget.
  • Contact Information: Clear details for follow-up conversations or interviews.

This project offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your creative skills while contributing to a vibrant local music scene. We look forward to reviewing your proposals and collaborating on a project that captures the vibrant spirit of Baltimore and its community of friends. Ideally the candidate would would create a narrative that inspires them from the song, but raw footage is a possibility if no one can deliver an edited project.
