I know many of you here in hogtown are subscribers to Derek and
Heather's awesome JPG Magazine.
Catching up on rrs feeds this morning, I was reading Derek's blog and
am saddened to learn his side of the story on recent events at JPG
magazine and why he and Heather have left the company/community they
co-founded:

It is a damn shame whenever things like this happen, especially when
duplicity and manipulation are used as tools by people who are supposed to
be community leaders. I don't even see a business reason why Paul Cloutier
would try to erase JPG's history.
Yesterday all mention of Derek and Heather and the history of JPG had been
erased from the www.jpgmag.com site, now there's a brief paragraph
referencing them on the about page, presumably as a spin attempt. Ironically
this was something Derek said he asked for before making the decision to
leave, and was refused.
Most people seem to agree, too little too late. I'm sure JPG will continue
as a magazine, there are still almost 10,000 images on the jpgmag.com site,
despite the number of people deleting their accounts, but for many people
more interested in the community than the business it's lost its lustre and
credibility.
