Hi Guys!

Every morning around 10 am I receive a gmail sync error. I am told
that I must use a gmail account in order to synchronize the phone. I
am currently using a Google Apps account with my own domain. I reboot
the phone and the error goes away until the next morning. This just
recently started.

Has Google placed restrictions on what type of accounts can be
synchronized with the phone? Do I need to upgrade my Google Apps
account to enterprise? What is their plan for enterprise support? We
all know how well Apple did with this. Does Google have any plans?

Questions, Questions, Questions!

I definitely appreciate any insight anyone can provide!

Here is Bill's response!

No! We have no restrictions on using Google Apps accounts with the
phone,
at least for the standard applications installed on the phone.
Some of the Google Apps available in market can only work with @
gmail.c...@googlemail.com accounts. (This is a technical restrictions
of
some sort on the back end. I'm not sure why.). One's that I'm aware
of
that have this restrction:
- Google Finance
- Google MyMaps Editor
(I'm sure there are others that I don't know about...)
So the alert you're seeing may actually be from one of those
applications as
opposed to actually coming from gmail/contacts/market/etc. Have you
installed any applications recently from market that talk to Google
Servers
that may be raising this alert?
Bill
