The new feature appeared in my gmail account last night. Is anyone
ready to cancel their Facebook account? For Google enterprise users
this could be a powerful feature similar to Salesforce.com's Chatter.

Still wrapping my head around this.  It popped up in my vanilla Gmail account, but not in my Google Apps account - I think it will be a while before this makes its way into the enterprise - here's the output from a live blog yesterday with a little more background and attached video

Looks interesting. I almost feel like buzz is a catch up product. I'm interested to see what features Google will offer to distinguish itself from other location based services like Foursquare.

It looks like a social media services hub for me as it is still depends on importing other existing social networkings like twitter..Google self seems has not built up its own social networking yet..at least most of my friends are still sticking to Facebook, MySpace and twitter and so on(I feel the social media is kind of messy.......)

I did not like this buzz feature from google at all, let's keep email app
separate from Twitter like. Too invasive in my opinion.

Good comparison between the two. In fact it is a shared code project
as much of both of their evolving platforms are coming from technology
outside the SFA POD. Buzz is great however at some point they are
going to have to converge the Consumer and Business space. I don't see
computer operators of the future continuing to maintain social
presence both at work and at home. It would be much more advantageous
if it was unified space.
