My name is Marianne Lund and I'm working with Tonto Press at the
moment on a work experience placement, so this newsletter is about the
upcoming and exciting events happening at Tonto Press and also about
my work experience.

*The book launch of Johnny Lonely*
First of all you need to keep your diaries free because on Thursday
26th July at 7.30pm at Brickworks, Tonto Press are launching their new
book 'Johnny Lonely', by Pete Tanton. There will be a press launch
during the day and in the evening free wine and food will help
everyone celebrate this fantastic book! I'm really looking forward to
the launch especially because there will be live music and Pete is
planning on reading out a section of the book and I think this will be
really exciting! 'Johnny Lonely' is already available to order via
Amazon if you can't wait until then to get your hands on the book, by
going on - http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0955218365/tontopress-21
*New Books are now available to Pre-Order on Amazon*
It's also very exciting that you can now pre-order your copies of both
'Johnny Kennedy; The Story of The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off' and also
'The Rocketbelt Caper' on Amazon. You can get the first book on -
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0955218381/tontopress-21 and
the second book on -
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0955218373/tontopress-21.
Tonto Press are planning on releasing this first book on September
24th and then the second book on September 3rd. You can also find out
advanced information on both of these books by visiting the Tonto
Press website on www.tontopress.com.
*The Unique blog of my work experience*
Over the past few days I have been updating the blog on the Tonto
Press website by outlining my work experience with both Paul and Stu
at Tonto Press. I have really enjoyed editing the Johnny Kennedy
manuscript and feel that I have hugely benefitted from this placement
and gained some real insight into the world of publishing. You can
visit the Tonto Press website on www.tontopress.com/blog for more
detailed information about what I have been working on.
*Final chance to sign up for Creative Writing Course*
There is still one place left on the Creative Writing Course that
Tonto Press are putting on for a week which starts on Monday the 23rd
of July which lasts till Friday the 27th of July. This is a great
opportunity for anyone who is interested in developing their writing
skills and will also be particularly beneficial and helpful because
both Paul and Stu are publishers as well as writers, so they can
provide you with the necessary information you need to get your work
published.
