Jonny Kennedy: The Story of the Boy Whose Skin Fell Off as told to
Roger Stutter, with foreword by Nell McAndrew, is released on Monday
and will be available from all good bookshops (ISBN 9780955218385)
including Borders stores nationally and Amazon. Jonny Kennedy was the
star of the unforgettable Emmy award-winning documentary The Boy Whose
Skin Fell Off. He was an extraordinary character determined to live an
ordinary life despite being born with the agonising condition
Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), which meant that his skin could
literally fall off at the slightest touch. It was a daily struggle he
faced with courage, determination and wit, offering inspiration to
millions around the world. Tragically, Jonny was just 36 when he lost
a final battle to skin cancer. This is his moving, honest and
uplifting story, written in his own words and completed after his
death by best friend Roger Stutter. You can read more about the book
here:

As you would imagine, Jonny Kennedy is attracting a lot of publicity.
The Newcastle Evening Chronicle is currently serialising extracts from
the book, and you can read the extracts online here:

Roger and Edna can be heard on BBC Radio Newcastle this Monday 24
September from 1.15pm. You can listen live or listen again for 24
hours afterwards here:

Again you can keep track of all the local, national and international
publicity on our blog.

*Rocketbelt Caper takes off*
Following a successful launch party, The Rocketbelt Caper by our own
Paul Brown is continuing to take off. It's the completely true story
of three friends who set out on a quest to build a real-life Buck
Rogers-style flying machine, only for their obsession with the
Rocketbelt 2000 to shatter their friendship and set in motion an
astonishing chain of events involving theft, deception, assault, a
bizarre kidnapping, a ten million dollar lawsuit and a horrifically
brutal murder. Photos, video footage, press coverage and tales of
movies and murderers can all be found on our blog. The book is
available from all good bookshops (ISBN 9780955218378) including
Borders stores nationally and Amazon.

*Durham Lit Fest reminder*
Just eight days to go until Pete Tanton 'and friends' Katie-Ellen
Hazeldine, Stephen Shieber and Rosalind Wyllie kick off the Durham Lit
Fest at the Gala Studio on Saturday 29 September at 2pm. Tickets, no
doubt selling like hot gateaux, are available from the Gala Theatre's
box office on 0191 332 4041, or online:

*The Burglar's Dog badge offer reminder*
The Burglar's Dog is back on 15 October. If you'd like a set of free
badges you can get them here:
