Hi Homeschooling Families,

I hope the title caught your attention because I really wanted to make sure that nobody misses anything. We are now up and running on the new website: www.teachingintherain.com Thanks to Brenda Scott and all of her expertise!!! We will be keeping up on this together.

In order for you to continue to receive email updates as to what is happening as we post items I will be adding your email addresses into the new system. Once I do that, you will receive an email from Teaching in the Rain that asks you to confirm your subscription. After you click to confirm you can choose whether you want to get an email from each post (like we have been doing) or whether you would like an occasional newsletter with highlights of what we have been posting. It's your choice. :)

There are benefits to this new website. Here are a couple of things we are doing:
Homeschool Directory Tab:
We would like to create a directory of homeschooling families. For instance if  you have a husband who does odd jobs, construction, plumbing etc. you can go to the website and add his information so we have someone who we can call who performs those types of services. Do you clean houses? List it for us! I'd love to do business with local homeschoolers for things that I need so that we can keep each other going, and that is my sole purpose in wanting to develop this.
Welcome Tab:
Here you can contact us if you have something you would like us to post. Pictures are great as well if you have one you would like us to post.

If you are a Facebook user, we also have a facebook page for Teaching in the Rain.

This will be a great place to bounce questions off of your fellow homeschoolers and encourage each other. I even posted a a few pictures of what homeschooling looks like in our family.

I hope this has been a blessing to you and you will share this new website & FB page with your homeschooling friends.
Also, on a side note, for those of you who have been WAITING forever for the moms group to return to Molalla, stay tuned to the next email! Woo Hoo!
