:-)Announcing the 2013 LDS-OHEA Conference with Donna Goff!

“Why choose (or continue!) the Homeschool Journey”

Saturday, April 27, 2013, 9am-2pm (doors open at 8:30 am)

Whether you are just considering homeschooling, have newly begun homeschooling or are a veteran homeschooler, you will leave refreshed, renewed, and filled!

Donna has over 30 years homeschooling experience of her 7 children and now 8 grandchildren.  She has a BA from BYU and a Masters in Education from George Wythe University.  Donna is the founder of the international company Princess Academies and The Hope Chest Journey preparing children to become women of virtue and men of valor.  She is the author of The Power of an Hour and Family Devotionals.  Donna is the founder of a cottage school/home education hybrid school called The Moor House Academy which is a private school as well as an online resource for homeschooling families.

And choose three workshops from the following options.

How to teach science.  Come learn from a mother with over seven years experience teaching a well rounded science class (with a waiting list!) that will cover all major science areas.

How to have a clean home school!  Really, it’s not an oxymoron! People exist who do both!  And you can become one of them!  Or at least learn how to be little better at it….  J

Homeschooling to college.  How do your children to get into college if you homeschool?  Is it possible for them to get a scholarship?  What are the options?  Come glean from those who have done it!

The many approaches to homeschooling.  There are so many ways to homeschool.  How do you know which is best for your child?  How can you possibly choose?  Come get an overview about many of them.  You will feel more prepared to choose.

“I ‘ve been in the trenches.”  (From the perspective of the homeschooled child.)  Come listen to some older youth who have "graduated" homeschooling!  What did they love?  What did they hate?  Would they do it again if the choice was theirs?  Hear about the end as you begin, with the end in mind!
