Letter-to-the-Editor: Women’s Day Special

"In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful"

Asalam'o Alykum,

 

A woman is made to sacrifice. It can be read in both meanings. In the meanings which put the responsibility of the theory on Nature, I do not know whether it is true or not, but it certainly is a convenient theory.

 

Further, the trump cards against her are the threat of divorce, second marriage and to take away her children.

 

Interestingly, these threats come not so often from the man or men, but from the women around.

 

On a totally different note, perhaps America can celebrate Women's Day by releasing an innocent women Dr. Aafia and Pakistan can follow suit by releasing missing Balochi women and girls of Jamya Hafsa.
