There are a couple of threads on the users group about trouble using
ImportTiddlersPlugin in 2.5.2

I've started a new thread here as suggested by FND.

I cannot import into 2.5.1 or 2.5.2 using TiddlyTools
ImportTiddlersPlugin either as bookmarklet or by installing
ImportTiddlersPlugin directly into the
empty TiddlyWiki.

In 2.5.1 I thought I could import using the built in import feature
But now I've upgraded to 2.5.2 even that doesn't work for me.

When you choose the file to import from it doesn't open to let you see
the tiddlers. It just sits there doing nothing.

I wonder if anyone else has had this problem.

FND says he had no trouble using the built-in import in backstage
however as of today I tried importing into someone else's TW 2.5.2 and
cannot import into it in anyway via a plugin or the backstage.

It is a downloaded version of https://files.getdropbox.com/u/1316865/DragSortTW.html

I'm using FF3.05 and Vista

Same problem when trying to import from a offline TW file.

That's a bug and I've found an easy workaround :

Step 1: Just select the file you want thru the "Choose..." button/menu

Step 2: Verify what's in the "Enter the URL or pathname here:" field.
It should be the same as the "...or browse for a file:" field but
prefixed with "file://localhost".
(TW new import function puts here the path to the current file,
instead..)

As suggested on [tw], this might be a known browser issue:

Is that 3.05 or 3.5? It's possible that the latest release might have
broken Eric's custom file picker, or perhaps even tightens access
restrictions in general.

No, it is correctly 3.05. As a conservative, I, being not the first
by which the new is tried; but. not the last by which the old is laid
aside, and as a trained scientist, not changing more than one thing at
a time during tests, can conclude, that my unchanged browser and
Eric's unchanged plugin cannot be responsible for this disparity in
functionality.

One can only assume it is the change in the core of 2.5.2 that is
responsible for this anomaly. In addition the import facility of the
core itself seems to be inconsistent as well depending on several
options concerning directories and well known legacy issues.

If however the new core changes were checked against all Firefox
versions and function differences between core changes anticipated and
perhaps core hijacking functions taken into consideration of legacy
plugins noted, then this should not be a puzzle but only one of
explanation.

As it stands the implications indicate that I should change my browser
version, to which I'm not sure of, and that Eric should change his
plugin, in what way and for what browser version, I'm not quite sure
of either. Even then it may not cure the backstage importing
inconsistencies reported that has nothing to do with the plugin.

I'm not ofay with all of the combinations of suggested causes. I only
know, from using the scientific method, that eliminating the 2.5.2
core cures all of the symptoms experienced.

If there are other methods available, I will be more than willing to
abandon Karl Popper's theories of Conjectures and Refutations and
seize upon this new method; and whilst exploring it bother you no more
while my problems fix themselves, and while scientific theory goes
through great upheavals as a consequence.

Meanwhile I shall continue with my browser 3.05 and my TW version
2.5.0 until I hear from you otherwise.that I have chosen the wrong
path of continuity while discontinuity be the right one.

Please don't take this as any kind of criticism; but, one as an
exercise on the humor of logic, its use and misuse, and its
misapplication - whether in be mine or yours:-)

Please try these plugin updates in your TW252 documents:
http://www.TiddlyTools.com/#ImportTiddlersPlugin (v4.5.1)
http://www.TiddlyTools.com/#LoadTiddlersPlugin (v3.7.1)

I've just fixed a somewhat obscure and bug which might very well be
related to this issue:
http://trac.tiddlywiki.org/ticket/1103

Could you please test this latest version:
