Hi,

I found this very useful SIMILE plugin on http://www.martinswiki.com/timeline/ and http://project.dahukanna.net/. It's really great.
I have still some questions, maybe someone can help me...

- is there a list of options available for events (like start, end, title ...) and what they mean?
- is there a documentation somewhere (besides http://simile.mit.edu/timeline/docs/ and the js files) how to configure the panes (e.g. omit the month name in daily view)
- i have the problem that Firefox loses my options settings (autosave, animation) in the tiddlywiki that contains the SIMILE plugin. It does not in all the other tiddlywikis I have. Any idea how to prevent that would be appreciated.

cheers
Gabi

p.s. a general remark: I had problems with the Linkification plugin for FireFox. It kept scrambling my TiddlyWikis (with and without SIMILE, but the SIMILE plugin definitely didn't work after saving), so if you experience problems here, try to disable the linkification plugin.

Zech,
I've just got back from holiday and I'm currently porting my plugins to version 2.2.4. I should be releasing this soon.

As for the current plug-in (work in progress) what do you want to know?
For persisting your options in TiddlyWiki:
see example at
http://project.dahukanna.net/tiddlywiki/twextensions.htm#zconfiguration and current docs at http://tiddlywikiguides.org/index.php?title=Changing_default_options.

Hey there dawn, I was wondering if I could ask a Question or two about
your wonderful timeline plugin :)

I think it looks awesome, but I'd love if I could see it work with 2
plugins I'm totally in love with :)

The 2 plugins are calendarplugin : http://www.tiddlytools.com/#CalendarPlugin
and tasktimerplugin : http://www.tiddlytools.com/#TaskTimerPlugin

Basically if you got both of these plugins, you can create logs of
what you do over the day with the tasktimer (just put <<tasktimer
today>> in a tiddler with the calendarplugin, click the tasktimer
button a few times to make test logs to see how it works.).

Now, I was wondering how cool it would be if your simile plugin could
actually display the data in those logs :D except instead of day/month/
year split which you have going on, I'm seeing more of a hour/day/week
split.

Would this be possible you think? I'm not much of a programmer, but
these 3 plugins just seem to want to work together (or maybe that's
just me :D)

The only thing I'd be worried about is that I like to input into my
tasktimer description "descriptin|tag" to add an extra field with a
tag just so I can tag stuff I do. so the table would actually have 2
columns at the beginning, and then the timeline stuff, and not just 1.

What do you think? is this possible with your plugin?

K.

Hi Dawn,

thanks for the tip concerning the sticky config! that helped a lot.
I'm really looking forward to the next version, this plugin is really
great.
I was just wondering, if there is a list of all options one can set in
the timeline tiddlers and the timeline config tiddler?

cheers
Gabi

Kash,
I'll have a look once I've completed my plugin update and release for Tiddlywiki 2.2.4.
Dawn.

Gabi,
You'll find it in the AdvancedOptions shadow tiddler.
