looks like I get first post ;)

Why you ask? Well, in my 20+ years online, almost all of the advocacy
and evangelism groups/lists I've seen for various technologies have
had a tendency to get a bit, well, heated. Kind of implicit in the
name, no?
As I created this list and know how I myself can get a bit carried
away in 'spreading the word' as it were, and how I consider ANY form
of religion (technical or otherwise! :-) to not really be meant for
minors without direct parental supervision, in a fit of whimsy I check
the over 18 box. Didn't realize that it was an irrevocable choice
when making a Google Group, or I probably wouldn't have done it that
way, but there it is!
Anyway, if one desires pure, technical discourse and friendly exchange
regarding all things TiddlyWiki, those are indeed the place. However,
if you want to get excited and spread the motherfucking word about the
greatest damned invention in computing since the freakin' GUI, this is
for you!
See, I just got carried away with myself and swore like a sailor! But
this is the place for it!

Hallelujh!!!
Is it totally obvious that I come from a long (>400 years) line of
preachers? :-)
Hey, Apple, MS and others have the official job title of Evangelist,
so what the hell, why not just be totally up front with it in open
source? We gonna change the world, or at least the face of computing!
1) The Holy Grail of Programmers has indeed been constructed: firefox
runs everywhere (just about!), is open source, and TiddlyWiki is our
server-less application delivery platform.
2) As Brother Randy pointed out to me on IM last nite, TiddlyWiki
isn't a killer app, it's an app killer: goodbye Dreamweaver and
friends, why would a normal person outside of a corporate environment
use anything else for a static content site? The incremental effort to
get something nicer looking than a bog standard TiddlyWiki is huge,
compared to messing about with it's built in stylesheets. Attach the
graphics inline via Eric's AttachFilePlugin, and you don't have to
worry about putting the image files in the right directory, etc.
And that's just what you get with using the current version! More
plugins are released everyday, and here at Church Central we are
getting ready to release plugins to make the web server itself
redundant for all but the largest sites.
Screencasts showing how to easily do all of this are in the works and
coming soon. Look here for their initial announcement! The current
TiddlyWiki system has not even had a fraction of it's power tapped by
normal users, and I'm here to bring The Word to the masses!
Praise Jeremy!! Sing it!!!
