Hi,

I'm looking for a way to manage and organize myself and books.
I would like to be able to keep track of books I've read with notes on
them or books i would like to read, those I have and those I need to
buy, ...

I'm currently thinking of something similar to bibblywiki but closer
in look and feel to GTDTiddlyWiki.
I started some time ago to modify GTDtw to do all this but stopped
after some time cause of all the internal changes i had to do that
would break at each update.

How are you organizing yourself for this ?

PS : I'm interested mainly for books but it could also works for
movies or whatever

Hmhm, I think I was a bit sleepy yesterday. I wanted to say mGTD
instead of GTDtw...

Anyway, yes I looked at BibblyWiki as I said in my message and don't
really like the way it looks and feel, that's why I'm trying to look
at other solutions even if it's close to what I'm looking for

Sure enough you did mention BibblyWiki. I think my eye overlooked it
because it wasn't capitalized. My apologies.

BibblyWiki isn't my favorite of my old projects. In fact, I have on
more than one occasion thought about moving it to my Dustbin on my
webpage. I especially was disappointed that when you have a list of
3,300 books as I have for the seminary library I use it for, the
indexes at the top take too long to generate, and Firefox keeps asking
if you still want to run the script. The problem is that it has to not
only gather and build the list but also apply the visual 'for each
tiddler' code to each entry. My fear is that something like MonkeyGTD
would do the same or worse since it is rather visually oriented, not
with images but with check boxes and the like.

What exactly about MonkeyGTD do you want to incorporate besides the
looks? What do you have in mind for it to do? If any of us is to help
you here we will need to visualize it a bit more.

Blessings,

Dave
